While enjoying an annual shore vacation, three friends lulled away the hours imaging the perfect place to work. It would have to be a place of comfort and tranquility.It would have to be a place where the atmosphere was warm and inviting. It would have to be a place where the staff was committed to excellence and of course it would have to be a place where going to work was a joy and not a chore. Retreat Spa and Salon is a direct result of this beach trip conversation. Two of the partners, have been friends since childhood and the third, has been a close friend for years. Although they have different talents and abilities, they share a single vision. From day one Retreat Spa and Salon was bathed in prayer. We prayed over every aspect of our new venture. Our first board meeting was held in a half constructed shell of a building. We held hands and prayed over this piece of property, asking that the right doors be open and wrong ones be closed. Soon we were led to 4246 Washington Road. Doors began to open and Retreat Spa and Salon was a reality. Determined to complete as much of the interior constuction as possible, we labored hundreds of hours. Friends, famly and loved ones spent many a night nailing, painting and cleaning. Please know that you are appreciated and loved very much. Especially to our husbands, we thank you for your hard work, long hours, and endless support and love. You are the reason we are here! The doors to Retreat Spa and Salon were officially opened for business on October 31, 2006. It has been an amazing and exciting venture and we look forward to what the future has in store for us.
