Nature's Goodness is located near the intersection of East Main Road and Aquidneck Avenue, next to The Grape Room. Nature's Goodness has been open since 1985, and provides a large selection of natural, organic and whole foods. It carries a range of natural products, from food, body care, athletic supplements, natural pet care and health information.
Cumberland Farms is located in between Newport Creamery and D'Angelo's. It is both a gas station and a small convenience store selling a variety of drinks and snacks, newspapers and magazines, tobacco products and lottery tickets. It has a small area for parking and about 10 pumps for gas.
Highland Farm has provided fresh, homegrown produce since its opening in 1941 by the Sumner family. The business remains in the family today, and is evergrowing. In 1995, Highland Farm opened an extensive garden center, filled with annuals, perennials and rose collections. The farm also has an on-site bakery that produces a variety of baked goods daily, and is particularly known for its assortment of pies. There are also a series of seasonal activities, including a haunted hay ride around Halloween called "Trails To Terror."
John Wood and Aly Marks-Wood are the proud owners of this three-year-old market. They are committed to offering local goods from Manic Organic, Simmons Farm, Allen Farm, Aquidneck Farms, Run Dog Run, and Wishing Stone Farm, to name a few. They are also supporters of local transitional farms that are attempting to become certified organic. They specialize in natural and organic products.
The Ice Cream Factory features homemade ice cream and a wide variety of flavor choices. This location also sells soft-serve ice cream and frozen yogurt, which is a great diet choice. The Ice Cream Factory's hours vary depending on the season. This location opened in 2005.
Located on Main Street just a quick hop from the bike path, Brickley's is a favorite stop for ice cream fans. Brickley's offers a long flavor list of its own fresh-made ice cream.
There is plenty of seating with four tables inside and three picnic tables with umbrellas outside as well as several benches. Closed during the winter months, Brickley's spring opening is an event well worth waiting for.
For Matunuck residents and regulars, Seaview Marketplace is quite literally the daily bread. It features daily, fresh, baked rolls and bread that is sold in the store and used for its deli's well-regarded grinders.
