Little Rock Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining and improving the city s infrastructure. The department supervises various divisions, including administration, building services, civil engineering, solid waste and traffic engineering. Its building services division provides heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, carpentry and electrical services. The traffic engineering division provides traffic signals installation, traffic signs design, street light installation, and speed and humps construction. The department operates solid waste division, which is responsible for collection, transportation, treatment, disposal and processing services of citys waste. The civil engineering division designs and constructs infrastructure, including streets, subdivisions, storm water drainage facilities and capital improvements. The department is located in Little Rock, Ark.
