Cranford's public works department works to maintain the beauty of the town. Its staff remove fallen trees, repair sidewalks and potholes, clear snow, among many other tasks. They do not, however, haul garbage; residents must contract this service independently. Wayne Rozman is currently the public works superintendent and Mark Smith serves as commissioner of public works and engineering.
