Christian County Jail, located in Hopkinsville, Ky., is a county agency that provides incarceration services for Christian County in Kentucky. It provides for the incarceration of prisoners arrested in the county or sentenced or held by order of the courts in the county. It also contracts with other counties and the state to house prisoners. The jail underwent a renovation in 2000 and has a capacity for more than 600 inmates. Since 1994, the Christian County Jail has provided more than $10 million in inmate labor to 30 different public and nonprofit agencies in Christian County.
