Incorporated in 1932, Oregon Farm Bureau (OFB) is a voluntary, nonprofit agricultural organization representing the interests of the state s farmers and ranchers in the public and policymaking arenas. It promotes educational improvement, economic opportunity and social advancement for its members, as well as the farming, ranching and natural resources industry. Some of the programs that the bureau organizes are Oregon Century Farm & Century Ranch Program, employer education, legal advocacy, women s advisory council and the Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R) program. Oregon Farm Bureau has over 54,000 members with about 8,900 in agriculture. The organization is a part of the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF), a member-funded and politically independent federation of nearly 3,000 county farm bureaus throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
