Through internal growth and more than 320 acquisitions, Airgas has built a national packaged gas distribution network that includes more than 900 branch locations, cylinder fill plants, production facilities, specialty gas laboratories and regional distribution centers. Airgas specializes in the distribution of industrial, medical and specialty gases, as well as related hard goods such as welding supplies. It also distributes nitrous oxide, dry ice, liquid carbon dioxide, process chemicals, refrigerants and ammonia products. Airgas markets its products through multiple channels, including its own branches and an outside sales force; a Strategic Accounts Team focused on large customers; and distributors, resellers, telesales, catalogs and electronic business channels.
