Burton Funeral Homes and Crematory, founded in 1878, offers funeral and crematory services. It serves families from all walks of life, all financial circumstances and all religions. Burton has four affiliated funeral homes throughout the greater Erie area including downtown Erie, Wintergreen, West Lake and Girard, Pa. It is the only local funeral home that has its own crematory on site and has recently opened to the Erie area the Whispering Pines Cremation Garden. Burton provides various cremation and funeral services including embalming, services of funeral director and staff, one day of viewing hours, funeral service at the funeral home or local church, a register book, memorial folders, acknowledgement cards and the automotive equipment. The funeral homes also offer graveside service and personalized memorial service.
