American Legion Post 206 is a charitable organization dedicated to veterans, veterans' families and people currently involved in military conflicts. Members try to raise money for different causes in that vein. They support units going to Iraq and donate to the Veterans Memorial Home in Paramus. Fund-raisers include everything from concerts to selling poppies in May before Memorial Day. Members also conduct services in Westwood for Memorial Day and Veterans Day and work with the Westwood Veterans Council and Heritage Society.
