Nebraska Community Foundation serves 203 community, organizational and donor-advised affiliated funds in 183 communities located in 72 Nebraska counties. NCF and its affiliated funds have reinvested $96.6 million in Nebraska since 1993. About Us Nebraska Community Foundation ( NCF ) is heralded as a national model for its innovative work in community development philanthropy and for its groundbreaking work in using the intergenerational transfer of wealth to craft community endowment-building goals. NCF empowers community leadership, builds nonprofit capacity and links charitable giving to the creation of greater economic opportunity and prosperity. Nebraska Community Foundation, headquartered in Lincoln, serves communities, organizations and donors throughout Nebraska. We provide a range of services, including financial management, strategic development, education, training and convening to affiliated funds statewide. NCF is in the empowerment business. We build relationships with community leaders, donors and their financial advisors to help them achieve the impacts that charitable giving can have on community economic development outcomes. Nebraskans have a strong ethic of giving back. NCF encourages community leaders to build on this ethic to use charitable giving to address the current and future opportunities that make rural communities better places to live and work. To this end, NCF is not a grant maker itself. All grantmaking decisions are made at the local level through affiliated funds. By building permanent community assets, our system reaches out to help everyone to deepen or rekindle their belief in the future of their hometown.
