The Bernards Township Fire Prevention Bureau administers inspections of all businesses, schools, restaurants and health care facilities in Bernards Township to make sure they are all compliant with the Uniform Fire Code of the State of New Jersey.
The Bureau also inspects smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers in residential homes being sold, leased or rented.
The office is located on the second floor of the Engineering Services building.

The Basking Ridge Fire Company and First Aid Squad is a fully volunteer-based, nonprofit fire and first aid organization.
The company was first organized in 1904 and has been a staple of the Basking Ridge community ever since. Along with emergency services, the company also offers fire prevention and fire safety educational opportunities, community and school awareness services for both fire safety and emergency medical procedures. The combination of fire safety and emergency first aid makes the company unique in the area.
The Basking Ridge Fire Company takes donations on its Web site, and welcomes volunteers to serve as volunteer firefighters, EMT's or ambulance drivers.
