Fire & Rescue in Alabama

The Fire Marshal s Office of Homewood, Ala., is responsible for reviewing new construction plans and performing inspections on businesses, including retail businesses, hotels and manufacturing facilities. In addition, the office is responsible for organizing fire prevention programs to school children, senior adults and other target populations. Its fire and rescue services aim to prevent the loss of life and property through fire suppression, emergency medical services and hazardous material operations. The Fire Marshal s Office of Homewood responds to more than 3,000 calls for service each year out of four fire stations. At full staff, the department has 65 line personnel trained in a variety a specialties. It also assists with car seat installation and CPR training programs.
