There are four stations that make up the Plainfield Fire Protection District, which has been in existence since 1935. In 2011, the administration office was relocated to new headquarters on 135th Steet, east of Illinois 59. Construction will be completed in 2011. In addition to fire protection and prevention, the district also offers CPR and first aid classes, provides free child safety seat checks and attends public events.
