The Gemological Laboratory of America, Inc ( GAL ) is an independent appraisal company that identifies and evaluates diamonds, colored gemstones, watches and jewelry. Some of our more popular services we provide are: Pre-purchase ( verbal ) consultation - Have your gemstone or jewelry evaluated before you purchase it. Post-purchase confirmation - Once your have purchased your gemstone, have one of our experienced gemologists verify that it is the same diamond, and it has not been switched, chipped or nicked. Appraisals - Receive a written appraisal of your item which may be required for obtaining insurance. We also offer appraisals for liquidation, estate and tax purposes.
