The Sharing Community is a Church-sponsored multiservice nonprofit organization. It operates more than 18 programs that offer care to the homeless, hungry and ill residents of southwestern Yonkers, N.Y. The organization offers permanent and transitional housing, substance abuse harm reduction, and HIV/AIDS counseling and testing services. It also provides prevention education, case management and nutritional support services. Established in 1983, The Sharing Community additionally offers soup kitchen and shelter programs and operates on-site health and mental health clinics.
