The Colbert County Board of Education is a part of the Colbert County School System. The Colbert County School System s schools include Cherokee Elementary School, Cherokee High School, Colbert Heights Elementary School, Colbert County High School, Hatton Elementary School and New Bethel Elementary School. The Colbert County School System serves students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. Its schools offer various athletic activities, such as baseball, tennis, cheerleading, golf, softball, and track and field. Each school of the district maintains a parent-teacher organization. Its schools also operate libraries. The Colbert County Board of Education has its office in Tuscumbia, Ala.
