The Animal Sciences Research and Education Center, also known as ASREC, is governed by the Department of Animal Sciences, which is a part of Purdue University. The center provides animals and facilities to conduct research. It organizes animal science workshops for youths. The Animal Sciences Research and Education Center hosts more than 100 tours annually. The center manages a swine unit that provides animals for undergraduate teaching and extension programs. It operates a sheep unit that provides facilities for research in neuroendocrinology and physiology. The center s dairy unit houses a computer room and observation deck. It researches on various topics, such as nutrition, behavior, genetics, reproduction, animal health and product quality.
