The Farms is Montana Street's friendly neighborhood grocery store. Located in a quaint residential area in Santa Monica, The Farms has been in business since 2000. The store is quite intimate, the employees seem to know their customers and they will even help you out to your car. Even though the store is small, it still has everything you need, whether its your groceries for the week or ingredients for a special meal. It has a good selection of produce, meats and seafood. It also has a frozen food section, plenty of wine and alcohol, and specialty snacks and sauces. Harmony Farms is a meat market located in downtown La Crescenta. It features free range animal meats, with no added hormones or pesticides. Meat such as buffalo, duck, geese, venison, turkey and more can be found on hand. Inside, the space is loaded with tall freezers housing the clearly labeled meat. Pet food is also available in raw meat form.  

Branscomb Farms is a fully-equipped stable and seventy-four acre horse ranch that buys, sells, breeds and shows horses. The staff is experienced in training young horses for hunting, jumping and dressage activities. The ranch is not open to the public so call or click on its Web site for an appointment.

This eco-friendly, certified organic farm is located on 65 acres along the San Lorenzo river and Wadell Creek in north Santa Cruz County. The company's goal is "to provide the finest quality produce at the best value while respecting the land, the people and the surrounding environment." The public can buy Route One Farms' produce at local farmers' markets and stores such as New Leaf markets, Shoppers Corner and Staff of Life, as well as at restaurants such as Gabriella Cafe and Dharma's. It delivers baskets of vegetables to clients around the county for $15 per or $25 a week, depending on box size. The farm's offerings change weekly, but may include various herbs, greens, roots, fruits and flowers.
