Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds & Event Center has been drawing crowds since the 1850s, when residents flocked to see horse races and fire engine competitions. Today, the fairgrounds is used for the Sonoma-Marin Fair, held each June and featuring such favorites as the World's Ugliest Dog and Decorative Shoe contests.
Day to day, the fairgrounds is overseen by the Fourth District Agricultural Association and leases a portion of the property to several schools. Many parts of the fairgrounds are available for rental, including several halls, barbecue pits and even a small park.
Napa County Fairgrounds is a local non-profit organization. It hosts events and fairs all year round. It is also home to the Calistoga Speedway, Calistoga RV and Campground and Mount Saint Helena Golf Course. The Napa County Fairgrounds hosts events such as meetings, assemblies, banquets and more.
The Sarasota County Fairgrounds is a an event venue that hosts weddings, concerts, conventions, festivals (including the the Sarasota Medieval Festival) and the annual Sarasota County Fair. There are numerous buildings on site, with covered seating for 50 - 4000 people.
The Sarasota County Fairgrounds is also the site of Robarts Arena, which hosts sporting events such as boxing, martial arts, gymnastics, rodeo and indoor football.
