In 1974, Trinity Church, which was established 174 years ago, combined with St. John's Church of Far Rockaway, founded 129 years ago, to form Trinity St. John's Church. The modern church building was built in 1877, and the Parish house now fills the original church building. The congregation boasts 200 active member families and an average of 200 people attend Sunday services. The Rev. Owen Thompson has led the flock for five years. Trinity St. John's offers a plethora of programs for seniors, children and adults, as well as community outreach. Alcoholics Anonymous meets here every Monday and Wednesday. The site also features a historic cemetery, where many members of the Hewlett family are buried.

The Christ Episcopal Church first took root in 1836 with retired book-seller and devout Episcopalian Nathaniel Holmes. Today, the church is a vibrant community situated in the heart of Tarrytown. The congregation meets in an ivy-covered red brick building which was built in 1837. The church is renowned for its dramatic architecture, stained glass windows and pipe organ. In 1993, the church marked the beginning of the San Marcos Mission, a program that holds services in Spanish. Christ Episcopal Church offers nursery care, youth services and hosts a popular chili cook-off each year. Susan Copley is the rector at the church.

Saint Marys is one of ten Episcopal parishes on Staten Island and is a parish rich in history and blessed with generations of faithful and devoted parishioners. Our ministries include the Altar Society, Acolyte Guild, Choir, Bible Study Group, Prayer Group, Sunday school and Nursery care, Lay Readers, Ushers, and Lay Eucharistic Ministers. The Parish also sponsors a Girl Scout Troop, which is a community based organization. In addition, non-perishable food is collected year round for the feeding ministry at All Saints and Christ Episcopal Church. Saint Marys Church is spiritually and liturgically a traditional Anglican Church. Worship is centered in the Holy Eucharist, using the 1979 Book of Common Prayer, Rite I and the 1940 Hymnal. Our worship follows the customs of traditional liturgy including formal procession, Sanctus bells, holy water and other ceremonial accompaniments that enhance and beautify the liturgy. Music is an important part of our services.
