Scheduled to open in early 2011, Loma Linda University Medical Center-Murrieta sits just off Interstate 215 in northeastern Murrieta. The first phase will consist of a 106-bed hospital, complete with an emergency room, intensive care unit and labor and delivery ward. A five-story medical offices building is also scheduled for completion in early 2011.

Loma Linda University Medical Center-Murrieta is a joint venture with Physicians Hospital of Murrieta. It will bring much-needed jobs to the region, as well as added health care to the communities of Murrieta, Temecula, Canyon Lake, Lake Elsinore, Menifee and Wildomar.

Apart from the Murrieta center, Loma Linda University Health Care's other sites in the Inland Empire include a medical center in Loma Linda, a children's hospital, a behavorial medicine center, a heart and surgical hosptial and two university campuses. As a Seventh-Day Adventist organization, its mission is provide Christ-centered health care continuing his teaching and healing ministry.

Rancho Springs Medical Center is one of two acute care centers in Southwest Riverside County, located in Murrieta at the intersection of Interstates 15 and 215. The hospital has 96 beds and offers a 24-hour emergency room. Its variety of specialized departments includes a labor and delivery ward. Rancho Springs and its sister hospital, Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, make up Southwest Healthcare System. Each hospital is staffed with more than 1,300 employees. According to its Web site, "We work continuously provide residents of the region with high quality medical care, from emergency medicine to same-day surgery to maternity care."
