Multi-Township EMS, also known as Multi-Township Emergency Medical Service, is a nonprofit corporation with a location in Warsaw, Ind. Founded in 1977, the corporation is a basic life support ambulance provider certified by the state of Indiana. It receives funds by tax subsidy and revenue generated by ambulance calls. Multi-Township EMS maintains various full-time crews and additional paramedics on duty. In addition to emergency and invalid ambulance transport services, the corporation provides several educational opportunities for the community. Its car seat safety program offers training for parents and caregivers on the proper use of child restraints. Multi-Township EMS provides various cardiopulmonary resuscitation programs for area businesses, school bus drivers, and local police and fire personnel.
