Northwest Gemological Institute offers classes in jewelry appraisals. This school is located downtown in an office building off Main Street and 108th Avenue Northeast, and its lobby is decorated with gems, most notably a large rock cut open to reveal its quartz contents. NGI is affliated with Northwest Gemological Laboratory, which bills itself as the "Northwest's first and formost independent appraiser of fine jewelry."
C2 Education Center tutors students from kindergarten through high school in English and math, and provides college counseling; SAT, ACT and state test prep courses; and accelerated learning programs.
Located in the Newport Plaza, the C2 Education Center sits on the third floor in a comfortable office, perhaps roomy enough for 30 or so people. With about 15 teachers, C2 is able to give each student the attention that he or she needs. The center offers varying rates depending on the student and the type of tutoring, and there is financial aid available.
Varsity Student Institute provides assistance to student athletes and their families in the college identification and selection process. Varsity Student Institute offers several resources for students, including individual consulting, essay and application seminars, college recruiting and selection seminars and test preparation. Varsity Student can also provide information regarding financial aid for colleges and any other information you have surr0unding the recruiting and selection process. Varsity Student Institute has worked with numerous student athletes in college and universities across the country and can answer any questions you have while entering the college selection process.
This school offers saxophone, flute, recorder, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, violin, piano, guitar and voice lessons. Children's lessons start at age 5 and adult lessons range from beginner to advanced. Annual registration is $30 and lessons range from $36 to $65. Private lessons are also available upon request.
