Eisenhower Cooperative, based in Oak Lawn, Ill., offers a range of special education services to children. The institution provides the services to more than 300 children through its trained staff. The services include assistive technology programs, parent-infant diagnostics, educational audiological review teams, occupational and physical therapies, technical assistance, itinerant programs, developmental learning programs, hearing impaired programs and CARE program. The assistive technology team provides alternative methods to facilitate access to the learning process for students with sensory, motor or cognitive disabilities. The Eisenhower Cooperative additionally offers diagnostic services to its member districts for children up to five years old. A team of specialized evaluators, consisting of a psychologist, social worker, nurse, speech and language pathologist and an occupational therapist conduct these assessments.
