In 1973, Dr. George Brown, a radiation oncology physician at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, came to Austin for a specific purpose: To help people by providing state-of-the-art cancer care. Dr. Brown quickly brought in technologies and leading-edge capabilities found only in major academic cancer centers.
