Located in Costa Mesa, Calif., SOS Free Medical Clinic provides a range of medical care services. It maintains a team of over 150 volunteer health professionals, including general practitioners, chiropractors, orthopedists, ophthalmologists, podiatrists, optometrists and physical therapists. The clinic operates an on-site pharmacy and laboratory. It also maintains an eye clinic that provides eye examinations and glasses. The clinic offers a chronic care program that features treatment services for patients with diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorder and asthma. In addition, SOS Free Medical Clinic is a part of Share Our Selves, also known as SOS, is nonprofit, volunteer-based organization that serves homeless and low-income group people in Orange County, Calif. Founded in 1970, the organization employs more than 35 people, as well as maintains a team of over 300 volunteers.
