Siatta B. Dunbar, DO, CAQSM, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained sports medicine physician. Her clinical practice and care team in Burnsville, Minnesota, are part of Fairview Sports and Orthopedic Care. Her team is dedicated to providing patient-centered, comprehensive musculoskeletal care, utilizing principles grounded in wellness, as well as regenerative and minimally invasive orthopedic procedures. Dr. Dunbar approaches her medical profession much like her personal life: with the firm belief that it’s never too late to start over. She strives to help her patients start each day with a new habit of wellness and physical activity, putting aside what happened yesterday. She pursued a medical career after having graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in architecture. She attended Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a Family Medicine residency at Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She subsequently attended Rutgers University and Princeton University for her Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship. Dr. Dunbar is a published author in the field of sports concussion and has additional expertise in interventional and regenerative orthopedics, as well as ultrasound-guided injections. She is a proud member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM), as well as the Interventional Orthopedics Foundation (IOF), and volunteers her time with the Arthritis Foundation’s “Live Yes!” initiative. When she’s not in the office, Dr. Dunbar enjoys soccer, basketball, Tae Kwon Do, spending time with her family, and volunteering her time at local sporting events.
