He is a fellow in the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, and International Society of University Colon and Rectal Surgeons — where he holds several board positions. Dr. Fortunato is also a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. In addition, Dr. Fortunato has a strong academic interest and holds many positions in both national and international colon and rectal cancer societies. Dr. Fortunato has medical privileges at Allegheny General, Allegheny Valley, Canonsburg, Forbes, and West Penn hospitals.

Dr. Reichstein earned his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland Ohio, and completed his general surgery internship and residency at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis. He completed his fellowship in colorectal surgery at Michigan State University in Grand Rapids, Mich. He has received numerous awards and honors regarding teaching and research and has participated in medical presentations nationally. He has authored book chapters and many articles published in medical journals. He is board-certified in colorectal surgery by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.
