Dr. Richard Montilla, MD is Board Certified in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery. A graduate of the University of Santo Tomas Medical School in 1995, Dr. Montilla completed general surgery residency from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and both his Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery Fellowships at the University of Massachusetts. In addition to cosmetic training with accomplished surgeons in Boston, he also had a clinical faculty appointment with the hand surgery division at the University of Massachusetts. Over the past 15 years, he has gained experience working with world renowned facial plastic surgeons from California such as Timothy J Marten, MD, and Ronald Iverson, MD. Dr. Montilla worked at the University of Texas Medical Branch as an Assistant Professor where he taught plastic surgery residentsand medical students until he went into private practice in 2012. He see patients at his offices in Worcester and on Martha’s Vineyard. He also holds office hours with Kutchnir Dermatology office in Framingham. His areas of interest include Facial Cosmetic Surgery, Facial Botox and Fillers, Body Contouring, Breast Augmentation and Breast Lift. He also does Breast Reduction and Breast Reconstruction, Moh’s Reconstruction and skin cancer surgery. He also specializes in Complex Wound Surgery, and Abdominal Wall Reconstruction. Dr. Montilla is passionate about helping the world’s most vulnerable. He has traveled over 40 times to South America, Africa and South East Asia with not-for- profit organizations helping approximately 1,600 people by providing free facial reconstructive surgery and hand surgery to children and adults.
