With the use of a thin, flexible endoscope, your physician is able to visualize and examine your gastrointestinal tract, which includes the esophagus, stomach and duodenum. A colonoscopy is performed using a flexible endoscope to visualize the colon for the purpose of evaluating for diseases of the lower GI tract and developing an individualized treatment plan. Our physicians use a non-surgical hemorrhoid treatment using the CRH Oregan System. This is an alternate cost-effective method used for fast, painless removal of most internal hemorrhoids. In accordance to National established guidelines, a flexible endoscope is used to evaluate the colon for the presence of polyps or cancer. Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) is an endoscopic technique that allows the addition of ultrasound technology to look beyond the limits of routine endoscopy to include evaluation of the organs adjacent to the GI tract.
