Dr. Swann is board-certified in dermatology and fellowship-trained in Mohs Surgery, Laser & Cosmetic Dermatology. Dr. Swann continues to bring the best techniques in dermatology and cosmetic surgery to our patients in the Ozarks. We Know Skin! DR. MICHAEL H. SWANN Dr. Michael Swann is a fellowship trained Mohs surgeon whose primary focus is to surgically remove skin cancers using the Mohs micrographic surgery technique. Dr. Swann also has extensive experience in reconstructive surgical repair of Mohs surgery defects. He is the only dermatologist in the area fellowship trained in Procedural Dermatology which combines advanced training in skin cancer & Mohs surgery with advanced laser and cosmetic dermatologic procedures. His experience in laser & cosmetic dermatology is nationally respected and he is a known lecturer on topics including Mohs micrographic surgery, complex facial reconstruction, injectables including Botox & fillers, resurfacing and other advanced laser procedures. He believes in a team-approach to helping his patients achieve excellent results and has a thoroughly-trained staff who focus on skin cancer, reconstruction and cosmetic procedural dermatology. Dr. Swann regularly sees patients from all over Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas for both surgical and cosmetic work. Dr. Swann is a native of Springfield, Missouri. He graduated from Kickapoo High School and Missouri State University. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Oklahoma with honors before completing an Internship in Internal Medicine and Residency in Dermatology at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He then completed a fellowship in Procedural Dermatology (Mohs Surgery, Laser & Cosmetic Dermatology) at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California under the directorship of Hubert T. Greenway, MD and E. Victor Ross, MD and under the direction of Seaver Soon, MD and Dan Zelac, MD. Dr. Swann entered private practice in Springfield, Missouri in 2008. Dr. Swann is a proud member of the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS), the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) and the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS).
