The Greene County Children Services Board is the county agency designated by law to provide for the care, protection, and placement of abused, neglected, and dependent children in Greene County. It is a community-based agency that provides social services throughout Xenia, Ohio. The agency develops and manages activity centers for at-risk youths by providing several referral and comprehensive health care services, including gang and drug prevention, transportation, parent education, and computer and job training. The Greene County Children Services Board also establishes and maintains local community service centers that provide multicultural services in a culturally sensitive manner and promote general welfare of the community. In addition, it provides job referrals for students who are excelling or soon going to be graduates from one of its programs.
