He served as exam and emergency officer at the U.S. Army Dental Clinic at the Pentagon, where he was in charge of all diagnosis and treatment planning. After attending the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, he went to the United States Dental Institute and completed more than 500 hours of instruction in orthodontics and orthopedics.
