Karen Elizabeth Lanier, DDS, MS Dr. Lanier was born in Lexington, North Carolina. She received a Dental Hygiene degree from Guilford Technical Institute. Continuing her dental hygiene education she received a Bachelors and Masters degree in Dental Education from UNC at Chapel Hill. Dr. Lanier worked as a Dental Hygienist while attending the University of North Carolinas School of Dentistry. After receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, she continued and earned her Masters degree in Graduate Periodontics. Dr. Lanier has served as the president of the Third District of NC Dental Society, Davidson County, and High Point Dental Societies, and the North Carolina Society of Periodontists. She has been coordinating the High Point Dental Study Club for over 12 years. She is also a fellow in the Pierre Fauchard Academy, an International Honor Dental Organization and a member of the International College of Dentists, an honor and service dental society.
