Criterion Child Enrichment is a private, non-profit organization, that provides child development services and family services.
Founded in 1985, the office in Framingham serves the communities of Ashland, Dover, Framingham, Holliston, Hopkinton, Natick, Sherborn, Sudbury and Wayland. With 13 offices, the organization serves more than 4,000 families a year in the Commonwealth.
The Organization provides newborn services and early intervention services. The early intervention program assesses developmental needs and then provides educational and therapeutic strategies. Children from birth up until age 3 are eligible for these services. Team members, who may work with a family, include speech and language therapists, physical and occupational therapists, developmental specialists, psychologists and social workers.
The organization also provides educational and health screenings, developmental assessments, home visits, community groups and parent groups.
Families are not charged for early intervention services. Early Intervention programs are certified and funded, in part, by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
Bright Horizons on Staples Drive is a part of the national chain of child care services. The staff is made up of experienced, licensed caregivers who care for children ranging from 8 weeks to 12 years old. Crossroads Christian Childcare Center is a day-care center located on Edgell Road in Framingham. It is part of the Crossroads church community. The center offers full-day as well as half-day-care programs for infants, toddlers, pre-school and pre-kindergarten children. Its programs are centered on Christian values with a large outdoor playground and kids' pool available. There are summer programs available as well.
Over the Rainbow is a private nursery school and kindergarten located on Edgebrook Road in Framingham. It is a licensed facility with an emphasis on parental participation. Over the Rainbow has an open-door policy that allows parents to visit the center at any time during school hours. Infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers and kindergartners are all accepted at Over the Rainbow.
