DELCORA owns, operates, and maintains the wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment facilities for the majority of the Borough of Rose Valley. This includes a 140, 000 gallons per day (gpd) wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) utilizing trickling filter treatment with discharge to the Ridley Creek, one pump station, two lift stations, and 6.5 miles of collection system. The Authority also owns, operates, and maintains the Riverside (Pocopson Township, Chester County) wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment facilities. These facilities consist of a 45, 150 gpd WWTP utilizing stabilization pond treatment with spray irrigation, one pump station, and 2.5 miles of collection system. DELCORA also provides wastewater operations and maintenance (O&M) services to other entities in Delaware County. For the Chadds Ford Township Sewer Authority, DELCORA operates and maintains the 80, 000 gpd Ridings WWTP which utilizes sequential batch reactors for treatment and stream discharge, the 140, 000 gpd Turners Mill WWTP which utilizes extended aeration for treatment and over land discharge, and the collections systems, including pump and lift stations, for both of these facilities. Also in Chadds Ford Township, O&M services are provided to a private entity, the Springhill Farm Wastewater Treatment Facility Association, for their 100, 000 gpd WWTP which also utilizes extended aeration and stream discharge. Lastly, in Thornbury, (Delaware County) Township, the Authority provides O&M services for the Townships 180, 000 gpd WWTP which utilizes extended aeration for treatment and stream discharge and for their 6 pump/lift stations.
