Established in 1974, the Seminole County Fire Department is administered by the Seminole County Government. The department operates more than 15 fire stations and utilizes a first response mutual-aid system. It responds to emergencies related to lives and properties. The Seminole County Fire Department s apparatus includes fire engines, tower and ladder trucks, and heavy rescue, advanced life support and special response units. The department also maintains a fleet of emergency medical services bicycles and special event golf carts. The Seminole County Fire Department provides fire suppression, hazardous materials response, automobile extrication, and search and rescue services. Additionally, it offers emergency preparedness and training solutions.
