The Yavapai County Assessor is an elected position of Arizona s Yavapai County government. The county assessor s responsibilities include locating, identifying and appraising all assessable properties subject to ad valorem taxes, as well as notifying property owners of assessments. The assessor s office maintains several divisions, including personal property, customer services, cartography services, property appraisal and title transfer divisions. The Personal Property Division is responsible for providing forms to accommodate the reporting of agricultural, business and other personal property as required by law. The office s cartography department provides digital ownership mapping and tax parcel information. The title transfer department s function is to transfer ownership of recorded documents. The property appraisal division oversees the appraising of real estate for the purposes of taxation. The Yavapai County Assessor s office is located in Prescott, Ariz.
