Established in 1992, Southwest Detention Center serves as a correctional facility for inmates in Riverside County, Calif. It provides clothing and medication services. The facility is operated by Riverside County Sheriff s Department, which maintains various correctional and jail facilities and detention and training centers. The department also provides a range of court services, such as personal and real property sales, forthwith removal order, order for appearance of a judgment debtor, garnishments, and writs of execution, possession, sale, attachment, possession and assistance. The Riverside County Sheriff s Department also issues warrants of arrest and domestic violence temporary restraining orders. Southwest Detention Center is under the command of a sheriffs captain and administered under the direction of the corrections division chief.
