Frontier Health, based in Gray, Tenn., is one of the largest providers of behavioral health and special programs for people suffering from chemical dependency and mental disabilities and vocational rehabilitation services in Tennessee and Virginia. Its diverse array of services for children, adolescents, adults and families address the needs of the hearing impaired, victims of family violence and AIDS, runaways, teenagers in crisis, therapeutic foster care and adoption services. Founded more than 50 years ago, it is a private, nonprofit organization that focuses its activities in northeast Tennessee and southwest Virginia. It also individuals overcome alcohol and drug addictions through outpatient and intensive outpatient at sites in each of the counties it serves. Frontier Health also operates a residential detoxification and treatment and a drug residential treatment center.
