Spofford provides a variety of programs in preventive and therapeutic services to children and their families. The center offers various diagnostic evaluation services that include psychiatric evaluation, family social history and assessment, psychological and neuropsychological testing, medication monitoring and behavior stabilization. It also provides a wide range of residential treatment services, including behavior management; individual, family and group therapies; pastoral care, nursing services; and in-home family support programs. Spofford is approved by the Council on Accreditation for Services to Families and Children and is also the member of Child Welfare League of America. Its specialized services also include respite care, and substance abuse assessment and referrals. The center is a part of the Cornerstones of Care and is located in Kansas City, Mo.
