Sojourner Truth House (STH) is a 501(c) 3 not for profit organization located in Gary, Indiana and is sponsored by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ. STH serves homeless and at-risk women and their children and underserved members of the community through three streams of service.1. Clients staying in local shelters come to the day center for help obtaining benefits, referrals to community support agencies, basic skills and employment training, healthcare screenings and referrals, counseling and assistance with finding housing.2. Rawhide Boys Ranch, located in New London, Wis., offers programs for court-referred and at-risk youth between the ages of 13-to-19. The center s programs include the About Face program, military style community service corps, standard care, group home, treatment foster care, and alternative schooling programs.
