After many years of extensive surgical training and being the mother of three children, Dr. JoAnne Lopes brings outstanding surgical skills coupled with a heightened appreciation for the cosmetic concerns of women. As a female plastic surgeon, she feels that her contribution to the field has been her ability to view plastic surgery from a woman’s perspective and uses this perspective in her approach to cosmetic surgery. Although her practice consists primarily of female patients, a growing male patient population can appreciate the sensitive and caring style that a woman plastic surgeon such as Dr. Lopes can provide. As a female plastic surgeon, she has a unique ability to make her patients feel comfortable in a surgical environment as well as work with them to formulate a suitable plan of treatment.
