Las Vegas / Nevada / United States
The Las Vegas News Bureau began in 1949 as the Desert Sea News Bureau, a publicity component of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. Its photographers captured images of celebrities performing and playing in Las Vegas and sent them out via the newswire to be picked up by publications around the world. Since 1992, it has operated as part of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authoritys public relations department. The Las Vegas News Bureau employs seven people, including four award-winning photographers who continue to document the fascinating people, attractions and events associated with Las Vegas and other southern Nevada destinations.
