The mainstay of the Roman Catholic faith in Shorewood, St. Robert occupies a prominent frontage on Capitol Drive and serves a parish of 1,200 families. The church was incorporated in 1912 and the current building, considered an outstanding example of Lombardy Romanesque architecture, was dedicated in 1937. Among its features are Mary's Garden, a new outdoor prayer garden, and the sanctuary's large Kilgen pipe organ. The Grace Christian Fellowship is a laid-back, friendly environment where "ordinary people" are enjoying Christian living. Church members say that the Grace Christian Fellowship is "a fresh expression of God's love for you!" The foundation of Grace Christian Fellowship is the Bible. The pastor delivers messages that are easy to grasp, such as how to beat depression, win over worry and build a strong marriage. The church is located near the northeast corner of Capitol Drive and 100th Street. All are welcome.
Our Shepherd Lutheran Church is known for its 60-foot tall freestanding cross and a radio station called Our World Today that reaches millions across the world in 45 different languages. The church provides youth programs, choir, mission work and Sunday bible school.
St. John's provides worship services each week on Sundays and Mondays, as well as a variety for opportunities for further study and devotion. Some activities include Sunday School and Bible classes, classes for adults, and childcare before and after school.
The church building received recent renovation, adding a new wing to the existing structure. St. John's is affiliated with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).
Shoop Park is a nine-hole public golf course on Lake Michigan. The Wind Point Lighthouse flanks the north end of the course. Tee times are available by calling the telephone number provided.
