Dallas CASA, also known as Dallas Court-Appointed Special Advocates, is a nonprofit social service organization that is governed by a board of directors. Established in 1979, it is a charter member of the National Court Appointed Special Advocates Association and the Texas CASA. Dallas CASA employs more than 30 full-time employees and supports over 350 volunteers. It provides psychological treatment, educational assistance, guidance and rehabilitative care services for abused and neglected children. The organization offers volunteer training in the areas related to advocate responsibilities, family violence, cultural competence, permanency planning, accessing services, court proceedings, and the dynamics of child abuse and neglect. Located in Dallas, it additionally organizes children luncheons, community awareness activities and fun parades.
