This church was founded on May 18th of 1847 by Reverend White and four other members who were tired of travelling to Manhattan for their place of worship. Reverend White was a well-known abolitionist, and the church and members' homes were often used as sanctuaries for runaway slaves. Since then, the Concord Baptist Church of Christ has dedicated time and thought to the African-American community and the current issues it faces. They provide the community with Sunday worship, Bible study, youth programs and music programs, as well as activism and service within the community.
Guiding Eyes For Blind is an internationally accredited guide dog school. The nonprofit organization was founded in 1956 to provide the blind and visually impaired with the freedom to travel safely and independently.
There are two campuses, one at the Yorktown Heights headquarters and training site and the Patterson Canine Development Center.
Guiding Eyes has had more than 7,000 graduating guide dogs. It provides professional training and follow-up services. It costs approximately $45,000 to prepare students and dogs to become a Guiding Eyes team.
The organization receives no government funding and provides dogs, plus training and lifetime support, to its blind and visually impaired students at no cost to them. To fulfill its mission, Guiding Eyes depends on contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations.
Adult bible study is held at the church on Sundays at 9:30. Worship takes place at 10:30am. The service at the East Northport Christian Church is in a contemporary style that features a live band with a keyboard, guitars, drums and more.

The Ossining Public Library is an excellent community resource. The shelves are stocked with books, audiobooks, CDs, magazines and other important research materials. Relevant programs include events for adults, teens and children, which include meet and greets, film series and computer classes.
Hospice Care In Westchester & Putnam is an extension of services from VNA of Hudson Valley. Hospice professionals coordinate patient care, manage pain, promote relaxation and comfort patients emotionally as they face life threatening circumstances.
The only church in Bayport, the Bayport United Methodist Church is located at the intersection of Snedecor Avenue and Middle Road. Several organizations, including the Boy and Girl Scouts, Bayport Civic Association and Alcoholics Anonymous, hold meetings here. Bayport United Methodist Church hosts youth nights on Wednesdays and offers numerous other services and programs for both children and adults.
Worship services are held every Sunday at 9:45am; Sunday school also takes place at 9:45am.
The local branch of the Chabad provides outreach and education for Jews living in the Five Towns and surrounding areas. Since its establishment in 1995, the center has helped children with special needs and provided classes for youths, adults and seniors. The site also serves as a shul, with weekday and Shabbos services. Rabbi Shneur Z. Wolowik is leader of the temple.
The Hampton Bays Library has been in service since 1960. This facility is updated with computers and a collection of over 70,000 books, CDs, audiobooks and movies. You can also donate books to the library and there is a book sale every Saturday.
Bayside Business Association services the Bayside community. It is involved in the beautification and growth of businesses within its community. It is also involved in the planning and oversight of commercial and economic programs and development of areas such as shopping districts and more.
