With more than 1,000,000 members, the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks is among the largest social clubs in America. Lodge #2515, located in Howell, serves local members and also sponsors community groups including boy and girl scout troops. The Elks Lodge also offers scholarships for area children. The hall can be rented for private parties with a maximum capacity of 100 people.
Immanuel Bible Church offers Sunday services with simultaneous infant and toddler child-care. The church also offers a number of youth and study programs.
Founded in 1994 and led by Pastor Chris McCarrick, Cornerstone Calvary Chapel is located off of Route 9 and provides religious services on Sundays and Wednesdays.
In addition Cornerstone Calvary Chapel provides outreach opportunities and other ministries.
The Howell Board of Education serves residents of Howell by overseeing the town's nine elementary schools and three middle schools. Residents of Howell then send their children to three local high schools depending on their location: Howell, Colts Neck and Freehold Township. Residents are welcome to attend regular school board meetings and meeting agendas are posted online.
