This Hider Lane senior center offers plenty of activities throughout the week for township residents who are 55 and older or disabled. Schedules are seasonal. Any township senior group can request use of the facility. The township also offers a bus service for senior citizens and disabled residents. The bus, which operates Monday through Friday, travels to various shopping centers throughout the area. For more information, call Jean Gomez at (856) 374-3525.
The township's recreation center offers a full range of activities for both children and adults. One of two township-run preschools is housed at the recreation center, which features a floor hockey rink, basketball courts and more.
The rec center opened in 1992, but looks much newer. The township's recreation supervisors are Bill Fagan and Diane Jones, both of whom reside in the township and became supervisors in 2004.
Discounted park, zoo and ski-resort tickets are also available for sale at the rec center.
This Baptist Church has been a part of the Gloucester Township community since Silas McMurray founded it in 1968. McMurray's son, David L. McMurray, has been the church's pastor since 1975.
The church sponsors Boy Scouts of America Troop No. 77, which meets at the church every Tuesday night.
