The city's Parks and Recreation Department (open Mon - Fri, 9am - 5:30pm) also operates out of the community center. Skyview Park features more than 700 feet of trails. For sports enthusiasts, there are tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts, soccer and baseball fields. This vast park also has two skating rinks and a warming house. A playground is also on the property.
Town Square Television is a non-profit community access television station. The station covers community events such as school sports, choir performances and city council meetings. The station also offers classes that can help qualify interested community members to submit proposals for new shows on the station. Current programs include Girl Talk, Call-N-Talk Taxes, Amp It Up and more.
Moose Lodge 1088 is home to Chapter 588 of Moose, The Family Fraternity, which is an international non-profit organization that dates back to 1888. From hunger drives to Christmas gift donations, the members of this organization are behind many community service initiatives in Inver Grove Heights. While volunteerism drives the organization, the local lodge also offers a warm and inviting bar that hosts karaoke and bingo nights.
One of the largest churches in Inver Grove Heights, Good Shepherd celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2010. Its contemporary 11am service regularly features live music from the church's seven-piece band. Pastor Vern Anderson and Pastor Orval Osmundson are co-pastors for the church.
